The gown is pinned on you at the first fitting, then reworked by hand so it moves with you. Hems and train length, bustles that hold, bodice and waist fitting, straps and necklines, built-in cups, and lace or beadwork rebuilt seam by seam.

Meet Eneida
Eneida trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and spent years working for fashion designers before opening Eneida’s Design Studio & Alterations in Red Bank. That background shows in the details: seams that lie flat, beadwork rebuilt by hand, and a bustle that actually holds through the last dance.
Every fitting happens with Eneida herself, in a private studio rather than a shop floor. She listens to what you want, tells you honestly what will and will not work on your gown, and then makes it fit like it was made for you.
Alongside alterations she designs one-of-a-kind prom and evening dresses, transforms heirloom wedding gowns into christening dresses, and sews handmade bridal clutches and accessories.

How a fitting works

Consultation and first fitting
Bring your dress, the shoes and undergarments you will wear, and your date. Eneida pins the gown on you, talks through the options and gives you a clear quote.

Tailoring in the studio
Your dress stays in Red Bank and is altered by hand: hems, bustles, bodice fitting, straps, cups, lace and beading. Nothing is sent out.

Final fitting and pickup
You try it on again, walk, sit and dance in it. Any last tweak is done on the spot, and the dress is steamed and ready to take home.

How far in advance should I book wedding dress alterations in Red Bank?
Book your first fitting eight to twelve weeks before the wedding. Most gowns need two or three fittings, and the last one should be about two weeks out so your weight and shoes are settled. If your date is closer than that, call (732) 547-9439 anyway; rush alterations are often possible depending on the work needed.
How much do bridal alterations cost?
Every gown is different, so Eneida gives a firm quote at the first fitting after pinning the dress on you. The price depends on the fabric, the construction of the gown and the work needed, such as hemming, a bustle, bodice fitting or beadwork. There are no surprise fees added later.
What should I bring to my fitting?
Bring the shoes you will wear, the undergarments or shapewear you plan on, and any accessories that affect the fit, such as a belt or sash. If someone else will bustle your dress on the day, bring them to the final fitting so Eneida can show them how.
Do you alter bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride and prom dresses?
Yes. The studio fits the whole wedding party, including bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom gowns, flower girl dresses, and prom, homecoming, sweet sixteen and quinceañera dresses.
Can you turn my wedding dress into a christening gown or a new dress?
Yes. Heirloom redesign is one of Eneida's specialties. She has transformed wedding gowns into christening and baptism gowns and restyled mothers' wedding dresses for their daughters, keeping the original lace, beading and details wherever possible.
Do you make custom dresses?
Yes. Eneida designs and sews one-of-a-kind prom and evening dresses from a sketch or an idea, and makes handmade bridal clutches and accessories to match. Custom work is quoted after a design consultation at the studio.
Where is the studio and do I need an appointment?
The studio is in Red Bank, New Jersey, and fittings are by appointment so you have Eneida's full attention and a private space to try on your gown. Call or text (732) 547-9439 to book. Can you add a bustle, cups or change the straps on my gown?
Yes. Bustles (French, American and ballroom), built-in cups, boning, strap changes, adding or removing sleeves, and neckline or back adjustments are all done in the studio by hand.
